Small Batch Release - Laudisi’s 25th Anniversary
In honor of Laudisi’s 25th year in operation, Cornell & Diehl (owned by Laudisi) will be releasing two small batch Virginia flakes, XXV Reserve Dawn and XXV Reserve Dusk. They will be available exclusively on SmokingPipes.com starting at 10:00 AM, and will go fast.
Capitaland Pipe Show
This is your chance to experience a pipe show without having to get on a plane, or drive for days. The show is free to attend, has some really amazing vendors, a raffle, a slow smoke (and fast smoke) contest, Polish food and beer, and camaraderie in the smoking tent. It is an awesome day, and not to be missed!

Pesse Canoe Blends Available in the US!
Previously only available in Europe, three blends by Turkey’s Gladora will now be available in the US. The blends are Oriental Flake, Latakia - 20, and Latakia - 40. You can check them out on sites like smokingpipes.com, thecountrysquireonline.com, and watchcitycigar.com.
For any club members interested, Oriental Flake and Latakia - 20 will be available to sample at our June meeting.
Small Batch Release: Sansepolcro
Sansepolcro returns this year with delicate flakes made of exotic KY-171 Italian Dark-Fired Kentucky elevated by superlative grades of 2021 and 2022 Red Virginias, 2019 Bright Virginias, and the perfect amount of unsweetened Dominican Black Cavendish. The result is a complex smoke with notes of mellow citrus and undertones of soft, earthy, clove-like spice.

Small Batch Release: The Beast
Inspired by occultist Alistair Crowley, who is said to have smoked pure Perique soaked in rum as a “meditative aid,” The Beast is a staggering (maybe literally) 51% Perique blend. For the 2025 release, they are using Perique from their proprietary farm in St. James Parish and soaking it in rum for 7 days.

Our First Meeting
After a year or so of talking about it, we held the first, very informal, meeting of the Northern Pipers pipe club on Saturday, March 15th. It was a beautiful, false spring day. We had two people who were brand new to pipe smoking, and had an absolute blast, with great conversation, lots of laughs, and even bagpipes!
